Suction Catheter with Elephant Foot Tip is mainly used for respiratory tract nursing. Aspiration of sputum is the use of negative pressure, through the mouth, nasal cavity, and artificial airway will be respiratory secretions or aspiration of vomit inhalation, in order to keep the airway patency of a method. Flanged tips are optional and are intended to prevent tissue grab by drawing air over the flange and into the side eyes to create a cushion of air to prevent the tip from contacting the walls of the airway. The flange is slightly larger than the shaft of the catheter, therefore the effective carrier size is increased at this location.
View More +Suction Catheter with a Coude Tip possesses a plastic vacuum control device at the proximal end (colour-coded). The distal end of the catheter is angled, possesses a terminal eye, and 2 side eyes, and is available with or without a flange. The Coudé catheter has an angled tip to make it easier to guide into the left (or right) mainstem bronchus. When these catheters are used, the direction of the thumb control valve can help determine the angle of the bent tip.
